One person was killed Tuesday morning in an accident on Highway 34, near the Morgan County line.

Troopers say a semi truck had stopped in a construction zone, when a pickup truck slammed into it.

The driver of the pickup died, according to Colorado State Patrol.

Troopers say it is unclear exactly what caused the accident, but state patrol is investigating.

The victim’s identity was not immediately released.
