Designed to dazzle

Homearama is like a fashion show for the home design world, with builders, architects, interior designers and landscapers all striving to push the boundaries and showcase their abilities.

“I love design and it’s a great opportunity to show off what we can do,” says Rick Seitz, co-owner of Artisan Estate Homes, one of the 10 homes with an average price of just under $2 million that are part of the show opening today at the Vintage Club of Montgomery.

Seitz’s entry, the Courtyard, is causing early buzz with its home theater balcony level and elaborate sports bar.

At each Homearama, you find unique, over-the-top and larger-than-life concepts. This year is no exception. From an early visit, we found several “don’t miss” ideas that stack up well against quirky features from the show’s 46-year history. Homearama runs through June 24.
