Jacobs Engineering Group Inc. announced that it is providing civil, structural, and environmental design services to Peel Media Ltd for phase one of the mediacity:uk development in Salford, United Kingdom.

The first phase of this internationally significant development will provide new accommodations and studio facilities for the BBC and consists of the site infrastructure, three new office buildings, a hotel, residential towers, a multi-story parking structure, and a television and radio studio complex.

mediacity:uk is the UK’s first purpose-built media city. An internationally significant hub for the media and creative industries that will deliver a new broadcasting centre for the UK with the leading broadcast, media and technology brands at its heart.
