Number of construction orders up, but their value falls in Q1

Czech construction companies signed 17,163 new orders in the first quarter, a year-on-year increase of 4.9 percent, but their aggregate value dropped by 13 percent on the year to Kc49.5bn, the Czech Statistical Office (CSU) said today.
