Construction on the North Myrtle Beach Connector bridge over the Intracoastal Waterway could begin as early as this summer.

U.S. housing construction rises 0.8 percent in March

U.S. construction of new homes and apartments rose 0.8 percent in March to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 1.518 million units, the Commerce Department reported Tuesday.
